Australian Urban Research Infrastructure Network (AURIN) Housing Workshop by VERSITU

AURIN is on a mission to leverage their research and industry partnerships to deliver real-world impact through digital and data-driven solutions.

Versitu was engaged to lead the discovery phase of this commercialisation journey, to allow AURIN to gain a deep understanding of Australia’s most critical urban issues and ensure that the innovations being developed would be solving the right problem. The focus for this engagement was the challenge of the financial feasibility of affordable rental housing.

Versitu developed a bespoke and replicable research methodology in the form of a hybrid (in-person and online) workshop that would engage a 25 subject-matter experts in the fields of economics, property development, architecture, academia, technology, and social community housing.

Structured as a human-centred data-collection exercise, they facilitated the workshop and produced the data required to understand the challenge in detail; resulting in the delivery of a set of problem statements to guide the commercialisation process
